In this workshop we are exploring OH SO MANY fun ways of transferring and adding imagery onto an encaustic surface. But the fun won't stop there of course ! After lots of exploration of methods ,we will be creating full paintings with our images !
What's in it?
"Let's begin at the beginning" ALL the basics , tools, equipment, set up, colorants, whys and why nots, and prepping your substrate .
Exploring multiple (lots ) of different methods of both transferring and adding imagery onto encaustic in beautiful fun ways,
step by step.
THEN.....
We will be creating several Full projects for:
-adding color to highlight your image,
-embellish, add beautiful layers of texture,
-and then "Bringing your painting to life!" creating a brand new painting out of an image.
- The Encaustic Pour
Each of the methods will become a full painting start to finish.

How long do I have the Workshop?
You have both the classroom site, and videos as long as you want !
( as well as me via email to answer any questions, or provide feedback )
There is also an ongoing Q and A page in the classroom that is checked daily to answer your encaustic imagery questions.

Encausticology Home Stories in 3D Forms
Come with me on a three dimensional journey exploring encaustic off the panel ! Some would say that the symbol of a house can be a symbol for the self . You could also explore that it is a protective structure to ones inner being. Do your houses show dreams of the future , or memories past ? Are they a fictional story with created characters or ideas ? The basic house shape can be a powerful symbol in many ways .
Come with me to create fictional or real stories for these meaningful forms and learn how to expand on an idea to create a series of work built on a single idea expanded to a meaningful theme both in abstract and imagery.
What you will learn in this workshop:
- creating encaustic sculpture 3 dimensional forms
- encaustic techniques: including setup and basic encaustic practices to get started
- transferring imagery onto encaustic surfaces
- my special burn techniques
- creating lots of wonderful textures on the encaustic surface
- embedding into encaustic surface

This workshop features hours of step by step video instruction and still imagery for each project with lifetime access available after purchase.
Questions ?
Do we create the house forms in the workshop or are they store bought?
We create these forms ourselves in the workshop . They are very simple with just a couple of cuts with a miter saw (or hand saw with a miter box ) and some sanding. If you do not have the resources to do these yourself I have the full set available in the store here:
Are the images that you work with available for use in the workshop?
Yes ! All images used in the workshop are downloadable in the classroom. You are also encouraged to use your own photography (its easy and fun :)
Can I sell my art I create in your workshop?
If that is your wish , then YES please do !
Can I teach your workshop /methods?
I work very hard to develop quality content , techniques, and helpful tips to share with you in all of my workshops . And, you totally rock, so I would love for you to share YOUR best you with the world and NOT mine , thank you for understanding ! :)
