This week some super fun ways to enhance your cyanotype prints !

I created the community over on Patreon in April of last year in order to bring small workshop content, and bonus content for artists each and every week at a very low price compared to a full workshop. Hello, and happy Earth Day ! 
I have been finally able to photograph and print cyanotypes outdoors the last few weeks AND use my own blooms and foliage from the garden. It is an exciting feeling to see everything renewed again. Even though we did get 3 inches of snow yesterday, I know Spring will return very quickly now.

Happy Wax on Wednesdays ! 
This week adding some pops of gold  with both faux gold leaf and gold R and F paint stick. The faux  gold leaf originally came from the craft store (Michaels I think) . Both golds were a little brassy for what I was going for in this collage. The wet on wet layer in this case helped to tone down the brassiness of the gold .

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
I feel like I have a new groove with all of the Spring in the air ! This Spring I am going beyond my usual flower beds and creating a large cutting garden. Dear Hubby may, or may not be aware of just how large I am envisioning this plan;) My huge love of floral photography is driving all my desires for this, and I have convinced my self that I will save money in the end growing my own ? That's what I keep telling myself as my garden plans expand anyway . I love visiting local flower farms though, and there are quite a few in our area.  It was especially a joy last summer when some of them were able to open to the public as it is an outdoor experience . That, and the beautiful parks ended up being some of the few places one could go. No complaints there though as both are a beautiful experience. What's in your garden this  Spring?

Hello and Happy Spring ! There are signs of the earth's renewal everywhere. Some are subtle and quiet and others bursting through with color and life. The weather here still tends to be touch and go. The sun will tease with a 60 degree day and then hide away bringing snow flurries today. It is a perfect day to get a start on all of the Spring blooms I have been photographing over the last week !
