This week I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit and create some fun holiday painting that are perfect as hostess gifts, or beautiful decor for your holiday table !
The fun part about this alcohol ink project is the negative painting process . I completed these guys with a coat of Art Resin to give them a beautiful glass finish. The sides can be finished by running a bead of coordinating alcohol ink around the side , Copic marker, or even a gold or silver paint pen.
There are endless possibilities for these little guys. I love decorating a holiday table scapes and one of my favorite parts of the design is adding a little piece of my handmade art to each place setting.
These snowmen can be coasters and also a wonderful little holiday gift to each guest. Traveling to other Holiday gatherings this season? Create sets of 4 and give them as hostess gifts !
Supplies I used this week:
Each week I list the supplies I used in the video here on the blog for you so that you can see and easily find the items used for that week's technique . If you purchase items from the links provided it sometimes generates a few cents in commission which goes right back in to creating videos for you on the youtube channel. It does not raise the cost for you in any way, and is the same link you would find on a regular amazon prime search . Thank you ahead for you support of Wax on Wednesdays in any way ! Also , although the photos here can help you easily find the product . I also recommend that you look at your local art /hobby store to make sure you are getting the lowest price. Sometimes with weekly 40% off coupons basic items can be found at a better price. If you are receiving this blog post via email click on the live link to the post so that you can view the supply links . NOTE: it is much cheaper to purchase the ceramic tiles at the home improvement store :)
Would you like to have even more fun with alcohol inks and encaustic ? "Encausticology Collage Minis , Color , Collage, Create !" workshop is available with lifetime access . Click "here " for all of the details for this exciting workshop !
I hope you have a lot of fun creating these fun little snowmen. Would love to hear from you and how you used them in your Holiday decorating !
