Happy Wax on Wednesdays to you !
This week is a printing process that I have been developing for a while now with alcohol inks ,so I am so excited to finally share it with you! I think that you will find this is super fun process that yields some really exciting results for monotypes ! I hope that you enjoy todays video and if you would like to enjoy extra painting on Wax on Wednesdays and more , you can join me at any time on the new Patreon page! The "Busy Bee" level over on the Patreon page will have slowed down footage and sometimes extra footage of all of the Wax on Wednesdays videos along with extra commentary on my approach , helpful hints, or more step by step instructions . Each level on the Patreon is like getting a mini workshop each week/or month depending on the level you choose ! If you would like to see the details for the Patreon Page here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/sharireplogle
Supplies I used this week:
Each week I list the supplies I used in the video here on the blog for you so that you can see and easily find the items used for that week's technique . If you purchase items from the links provided it sometimes generates a few cents in commission which goes right back in to creating videos for you on the youtube channel. It does not raise the cost for you in any way, and is the same link you would find on a regular amazon prime search . Thank you ahead for you support of Wax on Wednesdays in any way ! Also , although the photos here can help you easily find the product . I also recommend that you look at your local art /hobby store to make sure you are getting the lowest price. Sometimes with weekly 40% off coupons basic items can be found at a better price. If you are receiving this blog post via email click on the live link to the post so that you can view the supply links . Note : The Ranger alcohol inks are usually sold in color combinations of 3 as shown below. Usually if you find a single you will be paying a lot more. In the videos I am using almost all of the blues and some greens of both the Jacquard and Ranger lines . The Jacquard exciter pack is listed here as well as a larger set of the Ranger if you are really having a good time with them. Right now it is listed at 79.99 + free shipping which is a pretty good deal for 24 colors.

Hi Shari! Thanks for the great tutorial using oil pigment sticks and alcohol inks... My inks are not spreading like yours in the video. Any suggestions?

Hi! Love this video! The supply list isn’t showing up on your blog page. Assuming you’re using a gelli plate? Once a gelli plate is used with oils or oil stick, can it ever be used with acrylic again. Are you concerned about oil stick with plain bond paper with no primer ( gesso)? Thanks!
