Happy Wax on Wednesdays !
This week lots of fun recoloring and image with instant coffee, and my favorite Prussian Blue Winsor Newton Gouache! Clear layers of encaustic medium finish off the image and adds both depth and that magical dreamy quality to the image.
Supplies I used this week:
Each week I list the supplies I used in the video here on the blog for you so that you can see and easily find the items used for that week's technique . NOTE: I used the 8x10 cradled panels with 7/8 " depth but could not locate those this week on Amazon, so instead I am listing the gallery profile 8x10 inch panels which are 1.5 " gallery depth. If you purchase items from the links provided it sometimes generates a few cents in commission which goes right back in to creating videos for you on the youtube channel. It does not raise the cost for you in any way, and is the same link you would find on a regular amazon prime search . Thank you so much! Also , although the photos here can help you easily find the product . I also recommend that you look at your local art /hobby store to make sure you are getting the lowest price. Sometimes with weekly 40% off coupons basic items can be found at a better price. If you are receiving this blog post via email click on the live link to the post so that you can view the supply links .
Having fun with the Wax on Wednesdays series ?
If you would like bonus footage, and step by step process commentary for the the Wax on Wednesdays video series , it is all available on the Patreon channel. I began this channel back in April realizing that the world was really tough right now . It's not always feasible to purchase an entire workshop all at once, but it's so important and healthy to our well being to keep creating. This channel is important to me as another way to connect to you creatively , and also to keep myself in that creative frame of mind each week. It was also very important to me to find a way to be able to create content that is more available and accessible to everyone. For this reason I offer the "Busy Bee" level for the price of just one cup of coffee per month . This is an incredible value each week receiving the bonus footage, plus step by step commentary on how I created each project for Wax on Wednesdays. + you have all of the videos and content to refer back to for as long as you are a subscriber ! For the price of 2 cups of coffee: "Movers and Shakers" level receive the bonus Wax on Wednesdays footage each week , PLUS a painting warm up video each and every Monday! 8 videos per month :) For the price of one cup of coffee per week : "Creative Adventurers " level members receive one full workshop style project video per month in a variety of mediums for fun adventurous creating ! PLUS warm up videos each and every Monday, PLUS the bonus Wax on Wednesdays footage each week. I hope you are having a wonderful week so far :) Happy creating ! xo Shari
